Introduction to The Fairy Farmer
Hello there!
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my blog!
I’m Monique, a creative, a storyteller, a farmer, an herbalist, and a seeker of all things alternative. Welcome to the Fairy Farmer Blog, a cozy corner of the internet where we explore mystical, traditional, and natural lifestyles.
I steward 9 acres living off-grid alongside my partner, Kyle, and our growing herd of dairy goats, sheep, meat rabbits, chickens, and three livestock dogs as guardians in the northeastern border of the United States
Years ago, after high school graduation, I left home and took a solo trip to India. As my curiosity grew, I began to travel and document. This personal development & curiosity led to a pursuit of deeper educational and creative endeavors and a passion for farming and learning about alternative ways to practice self-reliance, holistic health, land management/animal husbandry, and natural methods of stewardship, lifestyle, and integrative holistic health.

Throughout this blog, we will explore the answers to questions like:
How can we incorporate a connection to nature through natural lifestyle methods and create a fulfilling, balanced, cozy, and enchanted life?
How does animal husbandry, particularly the relationship between herbivores and humankind, play a part in our biological and cultural development?
How has the integration of animal husbandry in human history led to a more sustainable and abundant development of our species and ecosystem?
How do specific remedies formulated through consultation using holistic health practices like herbalism and holistic nutrition, and traditional medicinal systems lead to a well-balanced, interconnected holistic lifestyle?
How do we nourish and reconnect to the interwoven relationship between humans, our health, and our ecosystem, through holistic and integrative methods of healing, stewardship, and lifestyle practices every day?
How do themes and archetypes of storytelling and folklore play an important role in our modern lives and impact future generations?
I’d like to encourage us all to ponder, what does regeneration mean to you? Do you wish to sow seeds in your life today to create lasting fulfillment, health, and a deep sense of interconnectedness to your life and those within it for years to come?
We will explore how we can be alchemists in our own lives, and how to generate change that uproots what we wish to leave behind and to move forward with grace and acceptance into a life interwoven with balance, peace of mind, and abundance.

As my great aunt used to say, “Everything you need is right in front of you.” When I remember this lesson from my elder, I always think of what surrounds me most: nature, my family, my community, and my home. Most of my time is spent outside, and my medicine has always been my connection to nature and loved ones. The fairy farmer blog reaches back in time, into nature and tradition, and finds clues and connections to a deeper sense of connection. In this blog, I aim to remember these connections of health, home, and tradition by regenerating holistic practices of wellness into our everyday modern lives. Now, that’s my type of rebellion!
Thank you for taking the time to read. I hope you find yourself excited to be a part of this cozy internet community, so while you’re here, grab a cup of something warm, relax, and read!
